An annual meeting is a gathering of credit union staff, Board of Directors and members. One of the major benefits of being a credit union member is being a part owner of the institution.  This means that members can be part of the important conversations and updates given to and by credit union leadership.

 

During the meeting the leadership of the credit union will review the annual report with the attendees.  The report reviews the credit union’s financial situation, contains details about the credit union’s performance over the previous year and what is planned for the upcoming year.

 

Another important piece of a credit union’s annual meeting is the election of the Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors reviews the performance of the institution monthly with credit union leadership.  Being a member of the Board of Directors is a volunteer role.  Elections for positions on the Board of Directors are held at the annual meeting.
